Life in death

My aunt passed away this morning at 4am. Today's post is dedicated to her. She was a wonderful, kind and loving person. She was special.

As night closes in
and life as we know it
comes to an end,
time is no longer time.
The soul separates itself
from its corporeal form
and breaks forth into His Light,
to behold the Lamb of God
in the company of the angels and the saints.

"Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen."

"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.
And let Thy perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace. Amen."
